When it comes to taking snapshots of your screen, there are countless tools you can try, and one such option is called Quick Snapshot.

This application packs an intuitive and user-friendly graphic interface, so you can easily capture your screen or a certain window. If you prefer the second option, the app takes the actual snapshot as soon as you click on the window you are interested in.

As soon as you have taken a screenshot, Quick Snapshot can save it as JPEG, BMP, GIF, PNG or ICO, to the location of your choosing.

No matter they type of snapshot you select, you can adjust its size by cropping it. Unfortunately, you cannot enter the exact dimensions you are interested in, you can only mark the area of interest in a rectangle, then revert the changes if you are not pleased with the outcome.

Alternatively, you can use the resize function, as it offers you the possibility to reduce the overall size to a certain percentage of the original. Nonetheless, you do not have the option to magnify the image, so if you need to enlarge it, you need to find a specialized third-party tool.

Another downside of Quick Snapshot is that you cannot schedule it to capture a screenshot at a given time and day, nor can you use hotkeys to take the snapshots or overlay text messages and shapes. In other words, you need to launch the main window of the app whenever you want to capture a new image.

To sum it up, Quick Snapshot is a minimalist solution for taking snapshots, yet its basic feature set might not be satisfactory for most users.
