Audiophiles and those who prefer to customize the audio signal’s waveform in order to meet their specific requirements, might require a dedicated equalizer. Redline Equalizer was developed with this purpose in mind and it will offer people a set of tools for controlling the characteristics of the output audio signal.

Having as its main prerequisite a compatible VST, AU or AAX host application, the plug-in will allow users to achieve precision control over the entire spectrum of their audio files. People will benefit from an interface that resembles analogue consoles, with several knobs for controlling audio characteristics such as: response curve, steepness, phase shift or gain.

It features five fully parametric equalizer bands which pack up to 60 dB of boost, two bands that are switchable to high/low shelving response and dedicated lowpass/highpass sections. The response curves have adjustable overshoot and the lowpass/highpass sections carry selectable steepness, in the range between 6 – 48 dB/octave.

The equalizer response curves are fully de-cramped, with center frequencies of up to 28 kHz and the phase shift is variable, from 0 to 100% (linear to analogue-style phase shift). Automatic leveling is also supported and it ensures that users will be able to homogenise the pre/post perceived loudness.

Other features that are worth mentioning are the implicit, dedicated equalizer functionality, customizable gain/Q dependency, zoomable equalizer response display and the built-in spectrum analyzer. Redline Equalizer supports sample rates of up to 384 kHz and provides full parameter automation.
