SanityCheck is a straightforward program that scans your computer for malicious activity, including rootkits. It can be handled by all types of users, no matter have inexperienced they are with this type of software.

Keep in mind that SanityCheck is not able to remove any infected files, so make sure to install an all-around antivirus solution that can take care of this problem.

The installation procedure is quick and does not require special input from the user. At initialization, the utility offers to enable certain registry settings to ensure a better detection rate.

The interface is made from a regular window with a plain and simple layout, where you can start the scanning procedure with the click of a button.

SanityCheck verifies hidden processes, drives with intercepted dispatch entry points, processes without product, company and description information, hidden files, and others.

Results are shown on the bottom part of the main application window. In addition, you can set the frame to stay on top of other windows.

An expert mode is provided for advanced users, where they can check out drives, devices, processes, threads, files, object types, and routines.

The application is very light on the system resources, running on a low amount of CPU and RAM. It has a good response time and quickly completes a scan job without issues. No error dialogs were shown in our tests, and the app did not hang or crash. Thanks to its intuitive layout and overall simplicity, SanityCheck should please all users.
