Digital music production tools have opened up a new world for electronic music producers. While plenty of hardware modulation tools were already available, the transition to a virtual interface resulted in unprecedented flexibility. Soon, all kinds of effects became more powerful and lead to the creation of sounds that were never heard before.

Nevertheless, shaping sounds is still an art, and it requires a lot of practice, but also a collection of high-quality plugins. If you’re looking for new ways to enhance your musical productions, then you should definitely check out a bundle called ShaperBox 2.

We don’t usually review bundles here, but ShaperBox 2 is an exception because it’s also an application that contains six different plugins (that can also be purchased separately). Not only does it allow you to use one instance of each tool, but you can also chain them to achieve spectacular results.

ShaperBox contains TimeShaper 2 (a plugin for time-based effects), CrushShaper (a bitcrusher), FilterShaper Core 2 (a versatile filter plugin), PanShaper 3 (an autopanner), WidthShaper 2 (a stereo widener tool), and VolumeShapper 6 (a great tool for adjusting and enhancing dynamic range). Each of the six plugins is very powerful on its own, and together they’re more than capable of remodeling your tracks.

Although they pack a lot of power, the six plugins are fairly intuitive, and using the suite is made easy by their similar workflows. If you didn’t take a closer look at all the details, you could believe that the interfaces are almost identical, save for the color palettes.

The effects are activated by LFOs which follow the shapes you draw using various tools. Alternatively, you can start by browsing the various presets and listen to how each plugin changes your music. All in all, ShaperBox 2 is a creative plugin collection that I’m sure many music producers will find useful.
