Made for users who want to organize their video collections by creating files with the same format, Top RM Converter is an application designed to create RM-formatted files from WMV, MPEG, AVI, QuickTime, VCD, MP4, DVD, 3GP and FLV videos, as well as change the audio and video properties of RM files. It has a built-in video player that lets you preview clips and take snapshots.

Packed in a user-friendly interface, the tool invites you to add video clips to the task list using the file browser, where you can select multiple files to add at once, or using the tree view to indicate a folder which contains many videos. Because batch processing is supported, it's possible to convert multiple videos simultaneously.

To make sure you're about to process the right videos, you can preview them in the embedded video player, so you don't have to launch any external apps. There's also a button implemented for taking snapshots but, unfortunately, it didn't work in our tests.

As far as customizable audio and video properties are concerned, you can set the preferred video size (ranging from 96x96px to 1280x1024px, or you can keep the width and height of the original size), audio and video quality (from lower to higher, or keep the original property), as well as the channel mode (mono or stereo).

Furthermore, you can set Top RM Converter to automatically open the destination folder or shut down the PC as soon as the conversion tasks are done.

Although we managed to install and run Top RM Converter on Windows 10 in our tests and most of its features worked, it failed in its attempts to start video conversion jobs. It did work on older OSes, however.

Regrettably, the tool hasn't been updated for a long time and has been discontinued, so it will no longer receive updates. Nevertheless, users who have a serial number for this app can still give it a shot.
