WinX Free DVD to iPod Ripper is a program designed to help you prepare DVD movies for iPod, iPad, iPhone and Apple TV. But it can also extract the audio stream and save it to MP3.

The interface of the tool is plain and simple to work with. You can import a DVD video by selecting its drive or by using the folder view. Unfortunately, you cannot process multiple DVD movies in a single session.

The file list displays specific information on the item, namely the title, duration, trimmed length (if you want to cut clips), output name and format, along with audio and video properties.

If you prefer the default settings, then you can directly initialize the encoding operation after specifying the output directory and profile.

Otherwise, you can modify audio and video parameters when it comes to the quality, frame rate, resolution, sample rate, volume level, aspect ratio and format (MPEG4 or H264). But you can also select the audio language and subtitle track.

WinX Free DVD to iPod Ripper also lets you preview videos and cut them by marking the start and end position, take snapshots (JPG or BMP), select the number of CPU core to be used, as well as specify the display and artist name.

Plus, you can set WinX Free DVD to iPod Ripper to use an advanced deinterlace accelerator and intelligent audio and video synchronizer, as well as to run in safe mode. During the encoding procedure, you can set the tool to automatically power off the computer or to open the output directory when all tasks are done.

The video conversion software needs a moderate-to-high amount of system resources to complete a job quickly. It creates videos with a good image and sound quality. We have not come across any issues during our tests; WinX Free DVD to iPod Ripper did not freeze, crash or display error dialogs. There is no help file available.
