As the name of this program suggests, WinX Free DVD to PSP Ripper allows you to convert DVDs to the format supported by PSP devices, namely MP4. First-time and advanced users can easily work with this tool.

The software comes with a user-friendly interface which allows you to add DVDs by selecting their source from the dropdown list or by using the folder tree. Unfortunately, it is not possible to process more than one DVDs at a time.

The file queue provides you with various information about the DVD, such as title, duration, audio, video and subtitle details, along with output name and format. If you prefer the default settings, then you simply need to choose an output profile and directory, in order to initialize conversion.

On the other hand, you can customize audio and video parameters when it comes to the format, quality, resolution, frame rate, file title and volume. Creating a new output profile is not possible.

However, you also have the possibility of previewing clips and capturing frames (to THM, JPG or BMP). Plus, you can split DVDs by marking the start and end position, select the audio language and subtitle track for processing, as well as remove an item from the list or clear the entire queue.

During the conversion task, you can read the current title, start and stop time, destination name, duration, frames per second, along with current time and frame. Moreover, you can set WinX Free DVD to PSP Ripper to automatically turn off the computer once all encoding jobs have been completed.

The DVD processing tool runs on a moderate amount of system resources and finishes a task quickly. The output videos have a good image and sound quality. WinX Free DVD to PSP Ripper did not freeze, crash or pop up errors during our tests. Unfortunately, there is no help file available. Plus, you cannot customize the CPU core number in use or set WinX Free DVD to PSP Ripper to run in the background.
