Icesun Video Converter is a simple-to-use program which allows you to encode video clips to several formats, namely MPEG, AVI, WMV, WAV and WMA. It can be handled by individuals of any experience level.

The interface of the application is plain and easy to navigate through. Video clips can be imported into the list by using the file browser only, because the "drag and drop" method is not supported. Batch processing is allowed.

In the queue you can read the source path, size, duration and status of each clip. All you have to do is establish the output destination and file type, in order to proceed with the encoding job.

But you can also configure audio and video settings when it comes to the frame rate, bit rate, size, sample frequency rate and others. Optionally, you can disable the audio stream.

On top of that, you can preview clips in a small, built-in media player, as well as remove an item from the list or clear the entire queue, and more.

The video conversion program takes up a moderate amount of system resources, has a good response time, quickly finishes a task and supports keyboard shortcuts. Plus, you can check out a comprehensive help file (too bad it doesn't have snapshots).

However, Icesun Video Converter failed numerous encoding jobs during our tests (e.g. ASF and FLV to AVI or MPG) and you cannot change program settings (e.g. enable the tool to automatically turn off the computer after conversion). We strongly recommend you look for something more advanced than Icesun Video Converter.
