Koala Video Joiner is an application with a pretty self-explanatory title - it allows you to merge video files of multiple formats, including AVI, ASF, RM, MKV and VOB. It can be used by individuals of any experience level.
The interface of the tool is clean and pretty intuitive. Video clips can be imported into the list by using the file browser only, since the "drag and drop" method is not supported.
In the queue you can read the source path and type, temporary format, current time, progress and status of each video. So, all you have to do is specify the output destination and file type, in order to proceed with the task.
Additionally, you can configure audio and video settings when it comes to the quality, aspect ratio, size, frame rate, sample frequency rate, codec, volume, and others.
But you can also apply video filters (e.g. flip, negate), set a post-task action (e.g. open output folder, turn off computer), remove an item from the list or clear the entire queue, change the interface skin, and more.
The video merging software takes up a moderate amount of system resources, has a good response time, quickly finishes a task and didn't freeze, crash or pop up errors during our tests. However, the image and sound quality is preserved at a poor level and the help file is inconclusive. Also, the unregistered version doesn't allow batch processing, meaning that you can only convert videos and not merge them. We strongly recommend you look for a more powerful tool than Koala Video Joiner.
