As the name of this program implies, Quick AVI MPEG Joiner allows you to mergeĀ  video files with the AVI and MPEG formats. The tool can be seamlessly handled by all user levels.

The interface of the application is based on a standard window in which you can import video clips by using the file browser only, because the "drag and drop" method is not supported.

In the list you can check out the source path, frame size, duration and type of each video. So, all you have to do is establish an output destination and filename, in order to start the merging process.

On top of that, you can change audio and video preferences when it comes to the frame rate, codec, channel mode, size, bit rate and others. In addition, you can disable the audio or video stream, play a video in the default media player, move items up and down in the list, and others.

The video processing tool takes up a low-to-moderate amount of system resources, has a good response time, quickly finishes a task, delivers the original image and sound quality and didn't freeze, crash or pop up errors during our tests. There's also a brief help file that you can look into.

On the other hand, the interface needs a complete makeover, since it's outdated. Plus, you cannot change the program's behavior (e.g. enable Quick AVI MPEG Joiner to minimize to the system tray) and the unregistered version is severely limited. We recommend this tool with reservations.
