RGS-CardMaster is a lightweight Windows application built specifically for helping you manage your contacts into a comprehensive address book.
The interface may seem a bit overwhelming at a first glance but this is only because the tool comes packed with many dedicated parameters.
The primary window is divided into several small panes, with each of one giving you quick access to several functions, such as Database, Card, Functions, File, Tools, and Browse.
You need to take some time and experiment with all the built-in functions before creating a database and check the help manual for making the best out of this app.
RGS-CardMaster gives you the possibility to store the information about your contacts with the aid of cards. In order to create a new card you are required to provide information about the name, address, postal cod, city, country, email address, and phone number.
What’s more, you are allowed to type in additional notes, insert date and time stamps in the note field, and attach an image (JPG, GIF, BMP) for the current card.
The utility lets you select the items that you want to copy to the clipboard (e.g. first name, address, email), duplicate the card, or copy the information to another database.
Other notable characteristics worth mentioning are represented by the possibility to sort the information from the database by first name, country, address, or other criteria, use the built-in text editor for inserting personal notes, and perform search operations throughout the entire database.
You can import information from CSV files, print data or export it to DOC, XLS, CSV, or DRG file format, create backups, as well as encrypt the database by setting up passwords.
When it comes to browsing throughout the entire database, you are allowed to go to the next or previous card, jump to the fifth card in the list, and switch to the first or last card from the database.
RGS-CardMaster comes bundled with several extra tools designed to help you keep track of important events with the use of an agenda, perform math calculations with the aid of a calculator, send emails via your default email client and faxes, as well as generate spreadsheets.
All in all, RGS-CardMaster proves to be a reliable app that offers a handy suite of features for helping you store contact information in a database. On the downside, it doesn’t provide support for vCard exporting options.
