Tcp Port Scanner is a lightweight and portable software application developed to locate IP addresses based on a user-defined range. It comes packed with standard and advanced options alike to please users from both groups.

Since installation is not a prerequisite, you can drop the program files to any part of the hard disk and just click the executable to run.

There is also the possibility to save Tcp Port Scanner to a USB flash disk or similar storage unit, in order to run it on any computer with minimum effort, as long as it has WinPcap installed.

An important aspect worth taking into account is that the Windows registry and Start menu do not get updated with new entries, and no extra files are created on the disk, leaving it clean after removal.

The GUI is user-friendly. The first step is configuring settings when it comes to the network adapter, TCP requests per second and source port, together with the IP and port ranges.

In addition, you can set the app to automatically start scanning on startup and on a regular time interval, clear results before scanning again, recheck the open ports using the full connection, retrieve DNS names, save the results list to file, launch a program, turn off the PC or exit on scan completion, and so on.

The tool does not put a strain on PC performance, since it runs on low CPU and RAM. There were no issues in our tests, since it did not hang, crash or pop up error messages. All in all, Tcp Port Scanner gets the job done and features a lot of handy options for advanced users.
