As the name of this software suggests, Apollo DVD to 3GP allows you to convert DVDs to video files with the 3GP extension. It can be easily used by individuals of any experience level.

The interface of the tool is plain and pretty intuitive. So, you can select the DVD source from a dropdown list or use the treeview (the "drag and drop" method is not supported, and neither is batch processing).

In the list you can check out the source name, play time, estimated size and destination path of the DVD and its chapters. All you have to do is specify the output profile and directory, in order to initiate the encoding process.

On top of that, you can select the audio track, subtitle language and angle, as well as configure audio and video settings when it comes to the bit rate, resolution, size, frame rate, quality, channels, sample frequency rate, codec, synchronization, and others.

Plus, you can select individual chapters for processing and enable Apollo DVD to 3GP to automatically turn off the computer once the job is done.

The DVD conversion application takes up a moderate amount of system resources, includes a step-by-step guide with snapshots for novices, has a good response time and quickly finishes a task. However, Apollo DVD to 3GP doesn't do a very good job regarding the image and sound quality of the output videos. We recommend this tool with reservations.
