Total Video Joiner has a title that pretty much explains its functionality - it allows you to merge video files of multiple formats (e.g. AVI, MOV, FLV, WMV). But you can also convert them to another extension.

The interface of the application is plain and intuitive. Media files can be imported into the list by using the file browser alone, since the "drag and drop" method is not supported.

In the queue you can check out the source and output path, status, along with start and end time of each clip. After you specify the output format and destination, you can go ahead and initiate the encoding process.

Additionally, you can modify audio and video settings when it comes to the codec, frame rate, channels, width and height, and others, as well as trim clips by setting the start and end time values. Furthermore, you can download clips from YouTube, make image adjustments (brightness, contrast, hue, saturation), record and edit audio tracks, and more.

The video processing tool requires a moderate amount of system resources, includes a well-written help file for novices (too bad it doesn't have snapshots), quickly finishes a task and manages to keep a very good image and sound quality.

However, it failed to convert a FLV video to AVI and we weren't able to download any clips from YouTube. Other than that, we strongly recommend Total Video Joiner to all user levels.
