Video Mobile Converter is an application with a name that pretty much explains its purpose - it allows you to encode video files to formats supported by mobile phones, such as 3GP, 3G2 and MP4.

The interface of the program consists of a standard window in which you can import videos by using the file browser only, because the "drag and drop" method is not supported. Batch processing is not possible.

So, all you have to do is specify the output directory, filename and format, in order to initiate the conversion process.

But you can also configure audio and video settings when it comes to the quality, bit rate, frames per second, size, channel mode, sample frequency rate and others.

On top of that, you can preview clips in a small, built-in media player and cut them by marking the start and end time or by size, as well as check out progress bars on the current and all tasks during conversion.

The simplistic video conversion software can take a while to complete a task while using a moderate-to-high amount of system resources. Once the job is completed, Video Mobile Converter offers to open the output file. The image and sound quality of the output videos is pretty good.

However, the tool failed a couple of tasks during our testing (e.g. MPG-to-MP4) and there is no help file available. Also, the fact that batch processing is not supported is a major downside. We recommend Video Mobile Converter with reservations.
